We cannot thank Emily enough for the support and help she provided us as first time parents. To start, Emily walked us through every detail of our birth preferences and ensured we both understood all the options and the potential ways the birth could unfold.
That first step turned out to be huge in our experience because my labor went sideways almost immediately. My water broke and I needed to be induced. Emily walked us through all the pros and cons every step of the way, making my husband and me feel much more confident in the process than we were at the beginning. Then, after many hours of labor, I stalled at 4 cm dilated and learned our baby girl had spun sunny side up. Emily worked with our L&D nurse to do spinning baby exercises to get baby to rotate. It was awful and I couldn’t have gotten through the painful experience without Emily’s support. She was my rock in the storm.
So many details of the birth experience went totally different than we expected, but with Emily’s help, we left feeling overjoyed with how everything went. I firmly believe that I would have ended up with an emergency c-section had Emily not been there help me through the pain and work so hard to turn our little girl.
I cannot recommend Emily enough. She listens to your goals, understands all the medical options, and ensures that you feel confident in your decisions during one of the most stressful moments you’ll go through. She’s also a huge supporter and cheerleader who will guide you through the labor experience. Working with Emily was a blessing.
